Jigging
is all about dropping a heavy metal lure down to a reef and
retrieving it in a series of upward, jerking movements -
resembling a dying fish bait. This movement is irresistible
to kingfish. When an XOS kingfish strikes, you will
know all about it.
Kingfish
are among the hardest fighting fish in the ocean. When
they strike, they hit hard, take heaps of line, and head for
the nearest reef. You will need strong arms and plenty
of determination to turn a big king.
The
big bonus of kingfish is that they make superb eating.
The flesh is beautifully white, moist and full of flavour.
